15:11

50 mins: That's a shocking tackle from Targett on Pereira. The Villa full back had lunged into his opponent on the touchline and was shown a yellow card. He's arguably lucky to avoid his marching orders.

HALF TIME

14:49

GOAL! JACK GREALISH! ASTON VILLA 1-2 LEICESTER

45+2 mins: Villa have a route back into this game! The hosts' captain thunders home into the far corner with the aid of a deflection after Leicester had struggled to clear a corner! And following a brief VAR check, the goal is awarded!

14:48

45 mins: Pereira is also shown a yellow card just moments before the break. McGinn's free kick is then nodded behind for a corner by Ndidi.

14:42

GOAL! KELECHI IHEANACHO! ASTON VILLA 0-2 LEICESTER

41 mins: Iheanacho tucks home Leicester's second goal of the afternoon after a darting near post run!

14:41

40 mins: Luiz's attempted strike from 25 yards takes a hefty deflection off Youri Tielemans, and Schmeichel gathers at the second time of asking ahead of Grealish.

14:40

38 mins: Iheanacho has flown into a challenge on Grealish right in front of the technical areas and is the next player to go into the book.

14:37
36 mins: Marvelous Nakamba's attempted challenge on Wilfried Ndidi is a fraction late, and the Villa man is shown a yellow card.

14:36

34 mins: Villa just can't catch a break currently! Targett had gone down near the goalmouth but appears to be able to run off any knock that he'd picked up.

14:33

32 mins: Dennis Praet provides Vardy with a perfectly-weighted ball down the right channel, but the striker just can't quite get enough power on the pass across goal to tee up the onrushing Iheanacho!

14:31

NORWICH 1-0 SHEFFIELD UNITED

Norwich have edged in front against Sheffield United at Carrow Road through Alexander Tettey! That could be a hugely important goal for Daniel Farke's men.

Emil Buendia's corner had been headed into the air by Tettey, who then brought the ball back down before rifling beyond Dean Henderson!

That's the Norwich midfielder's first top flight goal in 1436 days, believe it or not...

14:29

26 mins: Leicester are currently laying siege to Villa's penalty area. El Ghazi had nodded over the crossbar earlier, but Vardy then squandered a golden opportunity to double Leicester's lead. The in-form striker could only poke an effort straight at Villa's covering defender after being released through once again!

14:25

SUBSTITUTION

22 mins: The misery continues for Villa, with Mings now unable to continue after picking up an earlier injury. He is replaced by Bjorn Engels.

GOAL! JAMIE VARDY! ASTON VILLA 0-1 LEICESTER

The Foxes frontman rounded Heaton and, despite losing his balance, slotted into the unguarded net!

Vardy had darted superbly between the hosts' centre halves and finished untidily following a loose touch in an attempt to deceive Heaton.

14:21

18 mins: This could be a huge blow for Villa. Mings is struggling here after pulling up near the left-hand byline, and the centre half has received medical attention on the sidelines.

14:18
17 mins: Targett looks to arch a set piece from near the right touchline into the box, but the delivery floats over the crossbar with Kasper Schmeichel untroubled.

14:15
YELLOW CARD

13 mins: Maddison is the next to test Heaton, but the Villa keeper is alert and parries the Leicester star's free-kick from the edge of the box back out of danger.

Tyrone Mings had been booked for hauling down Ricardo Pereira rugby-style as the Foxes' full back looked to scamper past him.

CROSSBAR!

11 mins: And as Villa hurtle down the other end, El Ghazi strikes the crossbar! The winger collects Matt Targett's pull back inside the box, but can only cannon his shot back off the woodwork with the goal at his mercy!

14:12

10 mins: Leicester come so close to taking the lead! A looping ball in from Maddison is sent back across goal superbly by Caglar Soyuncu, and Evans is unable to force the loose ball home with Heaton clutching on his line!

14:10

8 mins: Villa piece together a move from right to left, with the hosts winning a corner after Douglas Luiz's cross is cut out at the front post by Jonny Evans. The set piece is poor, however, and Grealish's cross sails behind for a goal kick.

14:07

5 mins: It is absolutely bucketing it down now at Villa Park! Jack Grealish jinks inside after picking up the ball from John McGinn, but the skipper's strike from a tight angle is blocked by a crowd of Leicester bodies.

14:05

3 mins: Now Leicester carve out two superb openings! James Maddison's low strike across goal was well blocked after combining with Kelechi Iheanacho, before Jamie Vardy's attempted effort just moments later sails straight into the arms of Tom Heaton.

14:02

1 min: It's a fast start from the hosts! Ahmed El Ghazi has just surged down the right flank before a delivery into the penalty area is thundered clear.

14:01
